
Living the biggest disaster in 80 years, aid is continuing to be sent to Pakistan from Turkey. In this framework, the ‘Is Anybody There’ Association has sent an emergency aid package of 43 tons via the Ataturk International Airport to Pakistan.
The 43 tones of aid package donated by the owner of Rixos Hotels, Mr. Fettah Tamince, will reach Pakistan today.
The aid package that has been sent through ‘Is Anybody There’ to Pakistan contains: 650 insulated tents, 500 camping beds, 2 thousand kilims, 6 thousand blankets, 100 generators, a walky-talky set (1 Role+19 phone-sets), 13 thousand chlorine tablets (water purifying tablets), and 18 food boxes.
The co-director of ‘Is Anybody There’ Association, Mr. Eyüp Tok, in his speech given at the Ataturk International Airport, said that the aid package provided by Mr. Fettah Tamince had the privilege of being the first aid package sent from Turkey by the association, and added that the aid materials distributed now in Pakistan, mostly consisting of food and water, were being provided locally at Pakistan for the time being since the cost was less expensive.
‘We are calling everyone to help.’

Mr. Tok informed that the aid packages coming from donors to ‘Is Anybody There’ association are continuing to be delivered to Pakistan, and the 30 thousand tons of food and water obtained in Pakistan have been already distributed, and since August 16, in Punjab state-Lahore city and Khyber state-Peshawar city, the association has served İftar and Sahur suppers to 3 thousand people every day.
Following the aid package sent by ‘Is Anybody There’ via plane, Mr. Tok said the donations received from all over Turkey will keep being delivered to Pakistan by train. Mr. Tok said: ‘Pakistan has been hit with a devastating flood. From this disaster 12 million people had been directly affected. Now is the time to help our Pakistani brothers and sisters. We are calling everyone to help.’
